Lauri Hopkins
Lauri Hopkins creates bas-relief compositions using materials such as sun-bleached book covers, candy wrappers, and old papers. Her works feel both timeless and fresh, with her process being intuitive. She arranges, layers, removes, and rebuilds the materials, forming a constantly evolving visual language that challenges and engages the viewer.
The combination of the old and the new
After studying Fine Art, Lauri has exhibited internationally, including at the London Art Fair and British Art Fair. Her work is part of private collections around the world. Her artistic practice reflects a deep understanding of visual expression, where she combines the old with the new in a way that creates a vibrant and continuous dialogue with the materials.
